Scott Campbell (Scott C) is a maker of paintings, illustrations, comics, kid’s books and video games. He studied illustration at the Academy of Art in San Francisco, focusing on comic and children’s book illustration. He now works for Double Fine productions as an Art Director on such games as the critically acclaimed Psychonauts and Brutal Legend. Alongside this career in games, he has published numerous comics and created paintings that have appeared in galleries and publications around the world.

I’m totally in love with this guy’s artwork at the moment. Russian illustrator Uno Moralez‘s pixelated style is very reminiscent of that mid-90’s period of video game artwork; and utterly fucking twisted at the same time.

This is a short film about Illustration, which is based on a poem that I wrote in my last year of art school, needless to say; studying illustration. It concerns a fictitious congratulatory letter written by a proud tutor to a recent graduate.

Been a while since I’ve posted about an artist in a while; but the moment I laid eyes on this guys work, it’s a pretty simple choice of who.

HR-FM is a freelance illustrator/concept artist who works out of Japan and currently works around the concept of “The fossil which future people may dig”.

By pairing incompatible time bases to create scenes I call “the future past”, I express both surprise and recollection.
