Our 2010 entry into the 48 Hours competition in the Hamilton region where teams from around New Zealand compete to make a short film from conception to completion within 48 hours. Each film is randomly picked a genre and all have to include a prop (a broken toy), the line of dialogue “when you look at it that way”, a character named Sidney Manson who is a liar (?) and a zolly shot.
This was a busy year and our team was very last minute in deciding whether we really wanted to compete. When we finally did, we decided that, having come first in the region the last two years, we would make something really, really, really silly and silly we did. Getting “Sex Education film” as our genre probably helped too.
Unfortunately, due to some technical difficulties, this was handed in a minute late and despite being a bit too long on the edit, probably one of my favouriites.
